What is it? and how does it work?

Hyaluronic acid - the Holy Grail in skin hydration - is a naturally-occurring substance in skin, known for its fantastic ability to attract and hold onto 1000x its weight in moisture. It works overtime by replenishing skin to enhance a healthy, supple look and feel.

It is especially useful during the winter months, due to the harsh weather conditions that dry out your skin, taking away both moisture and oil.

In the world of skin care, trendy ingredients come and go (and many of them never should have been popular to begin with!). Research shows that hyaluronic acid is not just a trend; on the contrary, it’s one of the best skin care ingredients you can use.

It works to keep every aspect of skin stable, has the ability to help boost hydration for all skin types, which is especially beneficial for dry and dehydrated skin.

Do I need it?
As we age, the amount of Hyaluronic Acid our skin cells produce begins to reduce and cell turnover can slow down - this is when lines, wrinkles and rough texture tend to start appearing.

So, incorporating Hyaluronic Acid into your anti-ageing skincare routine is ideal for maintaining a youthful glow.

As a specialist Environ® salon, we are hosting an Environ® Skin Analysis event on Tuesday 8th October. An expert from iiaa (creators of Environ®) is bringing their advanced skin analysis technology, the Visia machine, to our Woolton salon; enabling our clients to identify problem areas below the surface of the skin. After analysing your skin with the Visia machine, the Environ® skincare expert will perform a 30 minute ‘taster’ facial. The treatment will be tailor-made to address specific skin concerns that have been highlighted in the scan. They will then recommend products and treatments, based on the findings.
